Gotta say, have been getting so much enjoyment out of coding with Claude the last couple of days. Have revisited something I have wanted to do for a long time which was a bit beyond my skills and would have taken a long time to do. This is to create a special purpose monitor for mod_wsgi which works in with the metrics mod_wsgi is able to generate about what is going on inside it. The results have been way better than expected.

Woohoo. Just closed out last open issue for my Python wrapt project. I think this is the first time since the repo was created and issues started rolling in. 🥳
I'll give early adopters a few more days in case new issues come up, and if not will release version 2.2.0. If you want to try latest version use wrapt==2.2.0rc11.
Have done a major cleanup, with lots of fixes and some new features as well. Docs even finally got stuff on monkey patching. For sneak peek use develop branch of docs.

Has Claude always used obscure (at least to me) acronyms like YAGNI when responding to you?

Back then I suggested perhaps there should be a white list mechanism for what packages should be allowed to have .pth code executed. These days with much better package installation tools, then maybe a tool like uv could embed an ability to configure it to disallow installation of packages using .pth files with code in them unless white listed, thus blocking them from even being installed in the first place. Just make sure you white list my autowrapt package. 🤣
