Luka Grafera

In the last month I have drawn 15 memorial portraits for those killed by ICE— Just short of halfway through the list for 2025. Really feeling the enormity of this project.

🔹 It’s been lovely to see so many portraits of Renee Good from artists in the last weeks, and I can’t help but feel that all those killed by ICE deserve the same kind of acknowledgement. I will be drawing every one we know of from the last year, Renee Good included.

Mass Defense Hotline has been a gateway to support for anyone dealing with the carceral system in Multnomah County since 2017. Wear this design as a reminder to memorize it when risking arrest. All proceeds to Defense Fund PDX, Portland's longstanding bail fund.

Year-to-date, Defense Fund PDX has paid over $60k to bail 120 people, in addition to keeping the hotline running. Every sale contributes materially to freeing someone from jail.

@bntn@mastodon.social Hey, thanks so much! That's very encouraging to hear. If you ever get back into painting, I'd love to see your work too.
