Simple hack for using parenthetical commas correctly:
The sentence should still make perfect sense when you remove the commas and the text contained within then.
"I was, quite understandably, hesitant to accept the offer".
Still makes sense without the parenthetical content:
"I was hesitant to accept the offer".
Lately I've had more work meetings with folks outside of my core team and it's alarming how completely and unquestioningly they've embraced the use of AI.
I encourage everyone to push back against this. Make it clear at the start of every meeting that you do not consent to spies eavesdropping on the call and extracting information. Make it clear that you do not consent to the fruits of your labour being fed into the death machine. It is not OK that this is being normalised, especially by people who should know better.
