Just read this fascinating and I think important book on the differences between women- especially young women - and men in how they develop as runners and the challenges they face in relation to expectations. It’s a great read from a fantastic runner - apparently considered as the fastest American middle distance runner never to make the Olympics and who persuaded Nike to use real athletes in ads. https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/664493/good-for-a-girl-by-lauren-fleshman/
