@nikodemus @MicroSFF I agree that big instances can be a problem. Better moderation can be a good solution given the current state of the technology. Still, if at all possible I would prefer to make my own choices about what I get to see instead of having to trust a group of moderators I might not even know. I do appreciate that others my (have to?) handle this trade-off differently.

@nikodemus @MicroSFF not sure how well this approach is going to work long term. It might work for a while for users that would like to have a nice, clean and safe filter bubble by choosing their instance according to taste, but eventually as the system becomes more distributed and more instances pop up it will become unmanageable without automated means. Client side smart filters? Also, I'm guessing detection and debugging of unexpected federation issues will become more important over time.

Auch wenn man nach dem Abstieg unwillkürlich nach Anzeichen von Rauchentwicklung beim abziehen der Schuhe Ausschau hält, hat es sich gelohnt, auf den Gipfel des Talaia d'Alcúdia zur steigen. Ist zwar nur 446m ü.M. aber die haben es in sich.
