Oui le manque de temps structurel est un problème, oui on est surchargé·es, oui on nous force à publier trop… Mais c’est vraiment pas une raison pour produire du texte de mauvaise qualité en masse, ça ne va clairement pas régler le problème.

Puis bon les sociologues on est censés être au courant que l’automatisation du travail est toujours accompagnée d’une intensification. Si on écrit plus vite, peu importe la qualité, on va nous en demander toujours plus… #SlowScience ?

@foxy@blahaj.zone I think it depends on unis, I don’t know exactly for mine but I’ve seen between 135 and 150 online. And yes I don’t really need that teaching money, my 3 years "grant" is a job with a decent salary :)

@foxy 0) France 1) 3 years, but social science PhDs usually last 4-6 years and only the first 3 years are paid… Masters assumed. 2) 180 ects (mostly for the defense) 3) We can teach max 64 hrs/year the first 3 years. After we may apply to a temporary teaching position which is 192 teaching hours per year (usually for one or two years + those positions are kinda hard to get). Many of us rely on unemployment benefit and other jobs for the remaining years.
