Now with listenable stereo mixing (oh, and lyrics, that too)

Version I

From Discmaster. There were a few versions of this on there, but they all seemed to be mostly the same. This is the only one I could find with significantly different instrumentation. Not sure if it's not GM or if they just chose strange instruments :P

Figured I'd upload this cover as well, since we didn't have either on here :P

Can't find this exact MIDI on here, but I might also just be stupid :P

Another arrangement I found while searching for #96424. Thought it sounded awesome, so put it on here as well :P

The Moody Blues

This MIDI is very crusty, be forewarned. I have a sneaking suspicion this sounds like it does because it's just not GM (it is a *very* old MIDI), so I wanted to see if HamieNET handles it any better :P

:3

I don't remember where this one's from, I'll figure it out later :P

From Discmaster. I suspect this one might not be entirely GM.

Inferno

The Moody Blues

From Discmaster. Surprisingly the only midi of this I could find on there!

The original link was dead, I had to track down the creator to get a copy so I figured I'd put it here as well for convenience :P

Now with lyrics! (originally uploaded Mar 02 2026, reuploaded due to a sequencing error in the lyrics)

Subj: GMIDI: Free Fallin' Date: November 5, 1995 From: NCWilliams File: FREEFALL.MID (31569 bytes) DL time (14400 baud): < 1 minute Download count: 230 AUTHOR: Norma Williams EQUIPMENT: MIDI Interface & Multitimbral Synth, or MIDI-compatible Sound Card NEEDS: MIDI Sequencer Software or .MID File Player Keywords: Williams, Petty, Rock, 80's, GM, GS, General, MID, FD Type: Freely Distributed Minimum Polyphony: 10 Notes/6 Instruments + Drums Sequenced For: General MIDI/General Standard Playing Time: 4:31 This is a different approach to Tom Petty's 1989 hit, "Free Fallin'." This is in Standard MIDI (Type 1) format. Note: The author has used an acoustic guitar from the MT-32 bank. Note: This sequence can be used with non-GM synths by loading it into a sequencer and re-assigning the Program Change and MIDI Channel data to meet the requirements of your equipment.

This was already on the site (ID 76212) but the lyrics were a bit wonky and I figured I could improve them. The melody track is also a bit wonky (to fit the wonky lyrics, presumably) but I did my best :P Enjoy! :)

I believe this is at least related to the version used as a demo on my Glarry GEP-202 keyboard, if not outright identical.

From Discmaster. Needed a MIDI of this for something else, so I figured I'd put it up here as well.
