Made a cam clamp today. Extremely wonky but it was a prototype and also I used the wrong metal bar rod. I’ll probably make more soon and they’ll be better #woodworking

Resawed enough to have drawers sides 1/2” thick and some nearly 1/4” bottoms. Looking forward to not doing this again, at least with a panel saw, for a long time. Maybe never #woodworking

Rear supports. Please that I had to do barely any paring to get this to fit. If I did this again I’d make the back slide into a groove but I made a mistake so these sorta fit in above where the drawers go. I *might* glue the carcass together today. #woodworking

Ok curve faired and fits reasonably well. Still need to break corners etc and it’ll fit even better, but I had to check. Now I have to get ready for a race. Will post more tomorrow! #woodworking

I really am unhappy with the overall shape and size. It’s too tall for sense, the proportions are a mess. The top is kinda bluh. I have three obvious options:
- Make it shorter
- Replace the top drawer with a cubby
- Leave it alone
I think I might do #2 and the cubby will just be a board on top of the drawer runners, so I can install a drawer there if my kids end up as tall as I am. I don’t have to commit yet but I am annoyed the speed bump. #woodworking

Our lives are only so long, we as a society should be doing what we can to make computers cheaper/better/faster so I can spend my life doing what I love instead of writing boring code

Glued up main carcass. I will screw in the drawer runners, wedge and glue the feet, and then I’ll be painting and working on drawers mostly. #woodworking
