@pomagarnet@chaos.social There's also a Plymouth in Massachusetts, but I don't know if the boot splash program is named after that or any of the other Plymouths. (Neither does Debian: https://wiki.debian.org/WhyTheName#plymouth)

@molly0xfff There's an interesting article what likely drives the "Jesus prediction market" dynamics: https://ericneyman.wordpress.com/2025/03/24/will-jesus-christ-return-in-an-election-year/ tl;dr: No betters can earn a relatively safe ~3% interest off of the Yes betters. Yes betters are betting that No betters want to get their money out before the end of the year (possibly to bet on more lucrative bets) and are willing to pay a premium for it.

@mjg59@nondeterministic.computer As long as they're not handing out Windows keys to kids...

@Techaltar@mas.to When I started studying I bought myself a Dell XPS 13 for university. It came with one year of premium support. When I had a display problem they sent a technician to my place to replace the screen within a few days. Didn't even have to send it in. Didn't have that great of an experience with my battery problems after the premium support ended though...
