I had something I've been thinking about lately happen in my own comments section recently, which is when someone brings their personal opinions to use in order to refute an evidence based claim/argument you've made. they're not bringing counter evidence, they're bringing their opinion and using it as counter evidence. which is an interesting thing
basically, in the video, I am talking about Mario Kart Tour, and how it gets dismissed as part of the series, despite, based on the evidence I presented, it being firmly a part of the series. I literally say at one point, "whether you like it or not, it's a part of the mario kart series", because I'm making the point that, regardless of whether you like the game or not, it is in fact "legitimate" and skipping out on talking about it when talking about the series as a whole is leaving out a big/important piece of the series
I feel so cool at the moment I feel like I have an up-and-coming lil youtube channel in my own lil niche and it feels like things could really go somewhere if I stick with it
it's very exciting to feel like you are bringing something unique to the table that people value and want to listen to u talk about
I've realized it's not the horror of resident evil games that stresses me out when I play them, it's just the inventory management and limited resources
I think it's silly when people argue that you shouldn't try to put a ban on AI stuff because "people will just keep using it but try to hide it" cause like. yea. that's what people do when they want to do something and know it's bad. that's a bad thing to do.
the idea of thinking people should accept something just because otherwise people would just try to get away with it in secret is patently absurd. if they're doing that, and it gets found out, well. they've done a bad thing. that's how things work

mario kart tour is going away soon. I had some things to say about it
the way I played cyberpunk 2077, making my character like me and being ace and not doing drugs or alcohol, made that one part where johnny takes over your body and goes on a crazy bender even crazier like your character is (obviously) always upset with that but with the way I played, the player character getting completely destroyed by it really makes a lot of sense lol
the james pond AI remaster thing kills me because first of all you didn't need to remaster james pond of all fucking things. and making it with AI is not going to suddenly make people want a james pond remaster. it does exactly the opposite in fact lmao
okay okay. I gotta talk about one other thing from my youtube comments. someone said that the mario kart 8 booster course pass "would have been better if tour never existed" and like. you do know they only made that because the had all the tour tracks ready made? otherwise there'd be no course pass. the original team did not make that. it's kind of a glorified mod. the main team was on to mario kart world by then, and in an interview it was confirmed that the dlc was made cause they were like, oh shit, its been rly long since the last mario kart, we should throw something in to tide people over
I realized I have a very mattel-centric games wishlist at the moment because I'm currently really looking forward to that retro Barbie collection and hot wheels infinite rush lol

its interesting to hear people talk about what it was like to play video games before they could read, I both learned to read incredibly quickly (they had to start giving me chapter books in kindergarten), and also didn't get to play any video games until I was like 9 or 10
so I never had a time where I both couldn't read and also got to play video games

I came across a cool upcoming game the other day, so here's a quick little video about it!!
tomodachi life really just feels like playing with dolls, except for the dolls are also little robots that do things on their own and you can sit and watch them mill about like one might do with an ant farm, on top of playing with them like dolls, and that's why it's so fun I think
I've been watching the youtuber jackson fanelli and he talks about the tendency of content farm-y spongebob youtube channels to just, recap the plots of episodes, without really saying much about them, and I think gaming youtubers often fall into the same issue, just recapping games level by level
when I'm making a video about a game, I try to hit key points and give overviews of the game in question, I summarize, I explain my thoughts and opinions, I only get into specifics when necessary or important. I don't just sit and explain every single level. when you just granularly explain a game, you often end up not really saying much about it, or even start like. repeating yourself. it's not only okay but honestly just good practice to just skip to the interesting/important parts, cause thats when you're going to have the most of value to say

if you don't got a lot of upper body strength it doesn't have a thing to do with your assigned gender. you get strong by using your muscles, its the same for anyone
and its crazy to feel like I have to say this, cause again. I just. yknow. grew up seeing that it was the case. this was the reality I lived in. it is the reality I continue to live in. I grew up knowing that the trope of a girl stranded on the highway waiting for a man to come fix her car was antiquated and stupid, I grew up with a mom who knew how to use tools and fix things around the house and I grew up to be a woman who does the same, I fix broken door hinges I do repairs on my bike etc. etc.
idk it just all makes me mad I guess

it just takes place in a nondescript warehouse and everyone looks the same, there's no distinct characters, no story, nothing
