Seeing a logo I made being visible in stuff like LAS talks is lowkey kinda cool ngl
I think I'm just gonna stop using this account. I won't point to anything in particular because it's just gonna cause arguments but I'm done.
What's the point of a Labour party that continues to push through oppressive and neoliberal policies? That even the supposed best hope is still murky on whether he'll actually be an improvement or just a Starmer 2.0?

it's not an exaggeration to say that every platform I've used (Twitter in the past, Bluesky, Mastodon) has a genuinely sub-par at best culture around them. Everything feels like it's just for outrage farming, and even places like fedi where the non-profit nature of the thing would suggest that that would be shed still feels like it has the same fundamental problems, just on a less capitalistic and more inter-personal level.
It just feels like everyone is always angry at each other and looking for the next big thing to blow up, and man it's fucking exhausting. I should spend more time working on my blog and software projects than venting but it is what it is.

even if you dont live in the US, these sorts of bills aren't strictly an American thing. get in touch with legislators wherever you are and make it clear you will not welcome this legislation in your country.
https://getaurora.dev? At this time of year, at this time of the day, in this part of the country? Localised entirely within your computer?

@cassidy@mastodon.blaede.family from what i've heard it's the sort of thing you have to make an active effort to use and get used to. i've been using a thinkpad for three years and tbh, i still only use the trackpoint occasionally.
