I edited (and make a cameo in) @allisonpregler@mastodon.social and @phPhelous discussing Lenny the Wonder Dog, Michael Winslow's ill-conceived attempt at a wholesome family movie. Boasting a star-studded cast: Andy Richter as the dog, Craig Ferguson is the baddie, and Oscar Isaac *is* Fartman! #film https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fS3pZsSo2d0

I've posted a recap of all the stuff I got up to last month, which I call The Long February. 12 new reviews, 2 Movie Nights videos, it's been a lot to keep track of! #film https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxcMORxzhHUEYWl_K7hAzCJ5MLh28ETvZw

New Projector Short! Adam Scott's grumpy author checks into the haunted Irish hotel his parents visited, and gets himself involved in a horror story of his own, in Damian McCarthy's Hokum, whose mystery elements means it might appeal to non-horror fans too. #film https://youtube.com/shorts/-rxb-usUpz0

New Projector Review! YouTuber Markiplier wades onto the big screen with a self-financed adaptation of the survival horror game Iron Lung, which feels like a remarkable accomplishment as an indie feature, regardless of its flaws - like its overlong run time. #film https://youtube.com/shorts/188N3C5d2cM

Posted my monthly update, including all the videos I managed to do before I unfortunately fell ill - *again*. Sorry I've been so sporadic. #film https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxwBbiKbfDCUEhZwZSMybZyKav74t5Qvts

New Projector Short! Alien: Romulus' David Jonsson and The Hunger Games' Tom Blyth are cell mates in the tense and intimidating prison drama Wasteman, from the producing team behind Adolescence. It's an tough, impressive directing debut that'll make you sweat. #film https://youtube.com/shorts/mj7ZPstVyLY

New Projector Short! Grizzly Night isn't really a horror #film - in fact, this true story of a terrible night in 1967, that helped shape many of the safety guidelines in National Parks to protect visitors from bears, is much closer to an old-school disaster movie. https://youtube.com/shorts/bOSEH0orgKw

New Projector Review! After an explosion, a small group of people decide to hide in a hotel room and go paranoid over social media in Hostages, a British comedy that has a great premise but an obnoxious execution that can summed up as "phones bad" for 90 minutes. #film https://youtube.com/shorts/F5LaWILyMpk

I edited @allisonpregler@mastodon.social and @Phelous@mastodon.social talking about an endearingly low-budget attempt to cash in on Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter! I would not recommend watching Max Magician and the Legend of the Rings... but the commentary track might be essential listening for indie filmmakers, haha. #film https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFiOJLsczE4

New Projector Short! The debut novel of Kazou Ishiguro (The Remains of the Day, Never Let Me Go) gets totally bungled in the deeply dull A Pale View of Hills. A UK/Japanese co-production set in two timelines and haunted by the bombing of Nagasaki, is more clumsy than delicate. #film https://youtube.com/shorts/IHAVm4FbRAg
