Amazon-Server sollen US-Übergriffigkeit auf Wero-Daten und Googles Sicherheits- und Privacy-Verständnis sollen die Integrität sicherstellen. Es ist somit weiterhin komplett von US-Diensteanbietern abhängig bei sehr wesentlichen Aspekten und damit keine Beispiel für digitale Souveränität bei länderübergreifendem Zahlungsverkehr.

I don't want to install a ... application hogging all the resources" Just now checked the the use of (runtime) resources: Firefox-Webbrowser: Open 1 Tab: 330MB RAM Signal-Desktop-Application: 162 MB RAM Is this the "hogging all the resources" you mean?

@jonkoops@mastodon.social @Sustainable2050@mastodon.energy True @jonkoops@mastodon.social , it is is not a really fair comparison, as any comparison like this depends from the clearly noted use-case context, you now delivered with " I'll have my browser open anyways". :) Without this context, your statement was as unfair as mine :), right? Now, my use-case context is: I mostly have no browser running. And you cant start a browser-site without running the whole browser, which makes your hint to the tab-specific resource consumption irelevant in this, right? And by this your statement is just the opposite in my use case. But besides this and as i think really relevant in the context of secure messaging: Signal is about save, secure communication. Putting the client app inside a browser does add security risks to the client. A Web-Site/App needs to request the code every time you visit the site which degrades the security level of signal as well as the possibility of browser plugins which can potentially have access to the whole execution context of the signal page. Looks to me to be not rational to use a messenger app with of a strong security level and than reduce this level by making a client under the dangers noted above.
