Ewen Bell on PeerTube

The biggest fear people have about changing their editing software is not being able to go back and access all that work they have already put into the file. We're hanging onto the possibility of going back to our old edits, instead of looking forward to new possibilities.

Reminder that my discount code for DxO PhotoLab is "EWENBELL15". If you're going to purchase some DxO products feel free to use this code and save yourself some money. I get a little commission as well, which helps keep my YouTube channel running.

And here's a link to my video on how I do my editing, a very simple and easy to follow guide to create the gentle style that you see in my photos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1R_UKlPnZ2M

@ada@blahaj.zone Good to hear another vote for Dark Table :) I have often used the DNG converter in the past, but often find the dynamic range is limited in these files compared to native RAW. Dark Table does a good job of supporting different cameras though :)

@ada@blahaj.zone DNG has been such a disappointment. Supposed to be an open standard and easy to exchange, but over and over I run into incompatibilities like this.

@hannesw I will never forget when I quit Adobe and they slugged me a bunch if money. They thought they were clever to extract a hundred bucks from me. But instead they made sure I never go back to their brand.
