If Andrew Tate gets to rot in Romanian prison for the rest of his life I will accept that as a small payment for all the shitty garbage that has happened this decade
oh vnc resolver scan tonight @ 9PM Eastern !!
venting my frustration not getting the steam controller by playing whack-a-scalper.
It looks like you've been attempting a lot of purchases in the last few hours. Please wait a while before trying again.
unfortunately due to Unforseen Technical Difficulties (tm) the @vncresolver@fedi.computernewb.com scan has been temporarily delayed, but it will be in the next couple days! Sorry guys!
Millions of Americans live paycheck to paycheck with housing and grocery prices skyrocketing, and instead of doing something about this our president has now decided to pour blood and money into yet another pointless forever war halfway across the world that will kill 1000s of civilians
And if that wasn't enough, this time we're hand in hand with a country that has indisputably been committing a genocide over the past 3 years
Fuck everyone who voted for these bloodthirsty psychopaths
every matrix client is like "oh it works perfectly except for this one feature that you use every single day"
There's a specific genre of open source software in which the maintainers are overly possessive of the software in a way that to me seems antithetical to the philosophy of open source. They'll do things like deliberately making functionality non-configurable based on their own preferences, and then respond to any issues asking for that stuff to be made configurable, or suggesting features that they don't want, in an extremely dismissive and sometimes outright hostile manner. Maintainers like this also tend to be extremely belligerent toward anyone who forks their software to add their own features to it, which again goes against the whole point of open source in the first place.
When I see shit like this I almost wonder if they would secretly rather their software be closed-source but want the street cred of maintaining a FOSS project
does the markdown formatting mode in moshidon just not work or am i stupid and using it wrong
Might learn emacs out of spite because vim is now AI slop apparently
Literally just read an entire issue thread where two very respected vim maintainers were communicating with each other through fucking LLM responses (complete with excessive pleasantries and some hallucination) whilst trying and failing to get copilot to implement something
what a way to ruin your reputation lol
just moved something like 3 refrigerators, 3-4 large dryer units, and around 10 big ass TVs with nothing but a hand truck and now I want ice cream
so now I'm gonna go see if there's anywhere I can obtain ice cream at 11pm
