I've been working on arf console, an R terminal implemented in Rust, for about two weeks as a coding practice using Claude Code.
I can't say that I've tested it thoroughly myself (unfortunately, I found two serious bugs when I tried using it myself right after it was opened😫), but if you're interested, I'd be happy to give it a try. #rstats

mastodon 4.7.3I play with R, etc.
I have just completed the release of the polars package for #rstats, which we have rewritten over the course of a year.

It can be installed instantly from R-multiverse (even on #webr !).
I'm happy to hear from many #rstats people who have tried using the recently released arf console.
I think that many people who want to try arf are radian users, so I added a sub command to import radian history to the latest pre-release version (0.2.0-rc.1).
I think this will be useful for trying out arf's fuzzy history search.

I started using Claude Code this month, and I'm finally starting to realize the power of the vibe coding I've been doing for the past few months.
Today, I spent half a day creating a converter from Rd files to Quarto Markdown files (qmd).
I hope that this will provide a strong foundation for building an R documentation site. #rstats
