Excellent piece on a topic that needs to be discussed more openly.

I always find it charming when authors say they can't get me something until next week and apologize profusely for the delay, as if I was even going to have time to read it until next week (or the week after) anyway.
I've been spending very little time on social media for the obvious reasons, and microblogging is now starting to feel like the old blogosphere a decade ago: a place I post once every few weeks but otherwise forget about.
I’m a huge Kevin Wilson fan, and I’m glad to see his latest novel, which might be his best, getting the attention it deserves. Seriously, get a copy of NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO PANIC, but also read his previous gem, NOTHING TO SEE HERE.

I now also have an account at Post.News under the same handle (@dwcongdon@scholar.social), but I don't yet know if I will be using it much. I do not like trying to juggle multiple apps, and the lack of a mobile app is enough on its own to make me disinclined to use it. https://post.news/dwcongdon
@brianbhalley@zirk.us I’m here! I mostly acquire in politics, law, and western history, but I do environmental studies as well.
