I think i rarely observed a gigantic WTF brain knot unleashing leap like the one we collectively had yesterday at the "Comp(h)osting our phones" workshop by @marieverdeil@post.lurk.org at #adela2026 festival. Everyone knows a phone is a computer but then using it really like a computer causes WARNING! reality shift. I kept nervously laughing and repeating "what is this" for hours :)
so thanks for the wonderful intro and all the knowledge collected at https://wiki.comphost.club/

great job @ljudmila@tldr.nettime.org

So unglaublich schlecht

Open Call - Festival der Regionen

Festival ahoy! The Danube is the festival. Eintauchen / Diving Deeper Water is political. The Danube connects. It changes. Landscapes, economies, societies. Current generates resistance. Diving means touching. Let’s not see the river as a backdrop, but rather as a protagonist of social, political and ecological negotiation. We dive into the interplay of people, animals, plants... weiterlesen

@bildoperationen@tldr.nettime.org @hito@tldr.nettime.org thanks for you thought. Maybe there should be more caution in calling this as the beginning of AI bubble burst, what a few are doing. this might be as you say just the discontinuation leading towards a next move. Like they need more infrastructure for AI assisted war machine.

@ShaulaEvans thanks for sharing, I do that too and feel now part of a thing. Most enriching is for names of plants or animals, where sometimes you have to go one layer up or down in the taxonomy - with quite some collateral learning in both biology and languages. I mostly use the wikipedia app. I find it useful as I can have multiple article open at the same time.

I mean this is just so much that probably power users use maybe 1 or 2TB, and the 100TB is there bit is just a stupid symbol for "endless". They could write 10000TB just to look exaggerated.

I mean hey i kind of knew that, I think am not really THAT disconnected with the reality of so many cultural organizations. but that was in a discussion about lowering the threshold of switching cloud, or making the rage/discomfort against that so high that it surpasses the mountain of annoyance of abandoning that suite. In that context I just thought: huh that is just so stupidly in your face.
