The 🇱🇧 ceasefire remains fragile but is holding - we want to see a lasting peace.
The EU 🇪🇺 stands firmly with you and your people.
We have mobilised €1 billion in support for this year and next. Part of this is now being redirected to urgent needs - including cash assistance for vulnerable households, as well as health and education support.

Met @bjerde_anna yesterday to continue the discussions we started last week in Washington on how to step up our cooperation. @WorldBankGroup’s strong engagement and expertise are supporting the Palestinians.
A key result of our cooperation is the recently published Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment (RDNA) with @UN 🇺🇳.
We also discussed how to strengthen cooperation in Lebanon 🇱🇧 , Syria 🇸🇾 and Iraq 🇮🇶 .

With @AymanHsafadi in Brussels we discussed progress under our 🇪🇺-🇯🇴 Strategic and Comprehensive Partnership and reaffirmed the EU’s continued support in a challenging context.
Jordan plays a key role in regional stability. We share common objectives: diplomacy, respect for international law, & protection of vulnerable people.
Our Partnership is more important than ever. Reforms & investments go hand in hand. We also discussed Jordan’s role as a regional investment hub and our support for new opportunities, including trade corridors & #IMEC.
We continue to work closely on Lebanon 🇱🇧 , Gaza 🇵🇸 , and Syria 🇸🇾 . I commend Jordan’s efforts in supporting Syrian refugees.
I look forward to my visit to Jordan in early May.
