Driftini

they're playing chris more interestingly than I thought, I like how huge of a wildcard she is

WHY IS EVERY SINGLE ONE OF TSUBASA'S ENTRANCES LIKE THAT section 2 abyss is close enough, welcome back terminal dogma

ep1 may have not told me enough to figure out what I was getting into but ep2 is far more like it I like how hibiki summoning gungnir like that out of nowhere is actually NOT an asspull and it's even vaguely hinted at in ep1 as it was clearly shown to be crumbling apart also that madoka magica-ass ed??? that just SCREAMS shit will get awful yeah this is good alright and not just in a haha over the top action kinda way

it was getting increasingly clear naze's time is gonna be up soon but man I'm not sure I'm ready 😭😭😭 I guess this is where it all begins to come crashing down, I AM at the door of the last 10 episodes after all

and we're done.. already? it's been a while since I last watched a sub-50ep show lol I think these last few episodes rushed the story too much though, the sheer hype is doing a lot of carrying I feel I'm definitely continuing with G as my friend tells me that's her favorite entry and I'm curious to see where this can go from now

THEY ARE NOT MISSING THE MARK WITH A SINGLE EPISODE OH MY GOD

why did chris jump through a window to leave the scene she didn't have to do allat 😭😭😭😭😭 lowkey hilarious how tsubasa specifically picked a song mentioning blades to karaoke nearly everyone here does this kinda insane shit for no reason with genjuro moving like jjk toji and chris playing dmc the way she switched her symphogear a few eps ago, I love that oh yeah I lost my shit at fucking tony glazer, gundam ass name

I had to break the 2eps-per-day rule once again cause this is such a good streak such a peak end to this arc I loved it so much also is it just me or they went WAY harder with the animation than usual here???? the shading on the mobile suits, the nighttime combat scene ..and that INSANE shot of takaki's mobile worker running away from an enemy mobile suit right before galan struck it down, I fucking love so much how it played with scale to make the mobile worker feel so powerless in comparison to proper ms'es also all the breaks inbetween with takaki and aston bonding over mundane daily life, eating together with takaki's sister and all, the looming suspense of not knowing when mika's group would make it to earth after being cut off for a whole month... FUCK such an insane arc

oh shit you can feel the claustrophobia with the walls tightening on tekkadan with every move they make they really are just desperately scrambling for any way to get out of this now orga begging rustal to just take his life for the others' safety and his shattered reaction after being denied that ring strong breaking bad bells as does the idea of shedding their old identities for a new start also INSANE and surprisingly not gay love triangle going on around mika 😭

are they refreshing ideas from Turn A with the mobile armors?????? many bells ring strong also interesting how beam weapons are completely ineffective against mobile suits, it makes logical sense as the latter were developed in response to mobile armors but still, beam weapons used to be synonymous with power in all the other entries but don't get me wrong I love that, it actually makes beam weapons more than just eyecandy

ah yes "I'll come back as always" the cue someone's not coming back if my hunch is correct I assume this wraps back around to ep1's intro

hibiki really be hitting chris with domain expansion: discord bio in ep6 "a shield?"/"a sword." might be the best exchange in the show so far, the sheer effortlessness with which tsubasa aurafarms like this it is interesting how fine and chris bring up eradicating wars, it doesn't sound like they're just talking about the noise, if even one detail I'm liking throughout the show is how hibiki's visibly inexperienced with a symphogear and not just in an overly subtle "ah damn this doesn't work, anyway" sense, back in ep2 she was moving really awkardly and crashing all over the place cause she couldn't gauge her strength, now even after training and all she's still blowing herself up trying to summon weapons you don't see this a lot I think? I haven't for sure oh yeah and they narrowly avoided making hibiki a "chosen one" cliche by tying her special status as an attuned to symphogear shards literally embedded in her, smoother than I expected

uh huh ryoko is pretty suspicious with that briefcase the minister had (and apparently having powers of her own which I already suspected due to her appearing in the op around all the other attuned - and miku who I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up getting dragged into section 2)

I already knew mika wasn't gonna come out unscathed after pushing barbatos to the limit again but I didn't expect him to straight up become unable to walk and yet he's unbothered if not appreciative of this as it allows him to think about less and less things other than fighting for orga meanwhile orga straight up manifesting his inner walter white as he insists to himself he's doing it all for tekkadan/his family as more and more people begin catching up on how toxic his relationship with mika is

oh I didn't expect the symphogear drugs and swan songs to come into play so early then again I assumed swan songs always meant the user was gonna die nehushtan being capable of summoning(?) noise does raise plenty of questions

this is actually playing differently than I expected??? they really rushed the whole ryoko thing though 😭😭

shino and yamagi are soooo straight for each other

I watched it earlier when I made the last post but I HAVE to call out the completely off the scales aurafarming in action here like

• come on, barbatos. that's your prey. I'll take your chains off for you.

that's a MASTERCLASS in hype moments and aura
