Updated #introduction: I’m a #medieval historian working on the Early Middle Ages, with a focus on church history. I’m currently writing an introductory book on bishops, together with a colleague. Another project looks at the role of bishops in succession crises in England and Germany in 10th and 11th centuries – or rather on their perceptions in written sources.
I wrote a book on the Norman Conquest of England in 1066 and another one on travelling Scandinavians in Europe (my dissertation).
