@fight@mastodon.fightforthefuture.org to create distributed versions of their campaign sites, ensuring they remain accessible and censorship-resistant through peer-to-peer (P2P) and decentralized protocols. We ❤️how their initiatives champion the use of technology as a tool for liberation ✊
By exposing practices that undermine basic human rights, they face significant risks of attacks or censorship. Now, Distributed Press is part of their toolkit for resiliency https://distributed.press/2025/02/26/fight-for-the-future-the-fight-for-a-resilient-web/

Have you ever lost digital content or a website? After a major project went offline, filmmaker Brandon Tauszik realized the need to preserve his work from link rot. So StarlingLab teamed up with us and SuttyWeb to create a future-proof, portable version of his portfolio. The websites were recreated in a way to be cloned and hosted in multiple places. We published copies on IPFS and Hypercore as portable code, making them resilient to link rot! Read more here: https://starlinglab.org/case-studies-link-rot/

⚡ Desarquivo, an extensive digital archive documenting feminist, anarchist and anti-racist activism in Brazil since 2011 had its valuable collection of +1,500 documents at risk.
📥 Their case was selected in our Resilience Grant to be preserved and safeguarded from digital obsolescence, leveraging the use of decentralized technologies and static-sites.
🔒 Read about the recovery and distribution of Desarquivo, which is now accesible via HTTP and peer-to-peer protocols 👇

This was made in collaboration with @fight@mastodon.fightforthefuture.org & others, with support from @ffdweb@bird.makeup
