Good grief, Charlie Brown! Work in health IT, 🇺🇸 in 🇬🇧, 🏳️🌈, bass singer in a choir, love 🚲 ☕ 🧀 💃📸 🎶 🚉 . Ex-biochemist. Come for the Brutalism, stay for the schlager.

My rubber plant is looking very happy this morning.
A proud pigeon and bemused statue in Torremolinos.
Over the past four months, I've noticed my overall energy levels (mostly physical + a bit emotional) significantly higher than baseline. Whether this is due to all of the exercise actually working, relatively decent MH, or something else, I'm not sure. Probably some of all columns.
I'm acutely aware this won't last forever and need to take advantage of it while I can. Carpe diem, seize the carp, innit?

Wait, so Allbirds isn't an RSPB-like avian enthusiasts club?!
Torbjørn: a normal Scandinavian masculine name.
Thunderbear: presumably the stage name of a DJ with a Nasty Pig wardrobe and a regular set at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern.
I found Málaga to be surprisingly beguiling. We'll start with the bit I forewarned my friends about with "if you don't want hardcore Catholicism on this trip, that's fine".
On Easter Sunday, I saw bits of the final Semana Santa procession of the year. An ancient tradition featuring penitents in capirotes and hundreds of people carrying shrines to Jesus and Mary. I enjoyed seeing bits of humanity and modernity, such as organisers with radios and water bottles resupplying thirsty marchers, hooded marchers talking to each other, or float bearers supporting each other when struggling.
Knew there was a reason I put extra paprika on my chicken tonight :)
A figment of one's reality.
Unsure whether the densest thing in my rucksack at present is my heavy chain link necklace or my ThinkPad.
Either way, it feels like I'm carrying lead 😵
"Please enjoy a song from the lesbian Afro-Norwegian funk duo, Nefertiti's Fjord."
Stay tuned for this Agatha Christie/Scooby Doo crossover special, "Poiruh-roh".
Hivemind: any recommendations for places to eat in Shoreditch?
Did Joel Dommett stop by Regulation on his way to the Taskmaster House? Woof.
Celebrity sighting: Fiona from The Traitors at Málaga Airport.
reading all of the depressing news: "maybe a cup of tea will make me feel better". 😵💫
Bro played bass and sang in head voice while stood in front of an inflatable cat pyramid. #Thundercat
My main revelation from today's discourse is that Gary Davies (un)fortunately(?) no longer looks like this:
This is timely, six days before going to Torremolinos via Bristol Airport*. 😁
*no pixel of what they showed is actually Bristol Airport.

Lovely time repping the choir at Trans Pride today, but I was amazed by how common this conversation was:
Me: "Do you like singing?"
Person: gets a twisted expression and starts explaining that they don't think they are a good singer
I'm in camp "everyone can sing" and camp "choirs are for everyone", and I'd like to get people less afraid of publicly singing.
"The Fate Of Ophelia" does not deserve as many plays as Kings Arms has given it tonight.
Lycan subscribe for more music hot takes.
My Neighbour Totoro was bloody brilliant.
Saw a line of 20 pink furry pedicabs outside Matilda as it ended. I told one of the drivers "with this many of you, I thought this was the Mamma Mia theatre". He smiled and laughed :)
Skimbleshanks, Rumpleteazer, Grizabella, & co. were in the Gillian Lynne Theatre from 1981 until 2002, where I'm seeing My Neighbor Totoro today.
They've gone from Cats to Catbus.
Superbloom day. I've found the singles to be perfectly fine but overly subtle so far.
Will Jessie Ware's latest be a banger-free zone? Stay tuned.
Saw the out-of-town tryout of The Greatest Showman musical tonight. Fkn ell, that was good.
Revisiting Madonna's 2012 Super Bowl performance after seeing it mixed into the rotation at a gay music video bar last night. There's a lot to cringe at, and the cameos are best ignored apart from a better-than-expected LMFAO. There's also a lot to like, particularly the opening shots of a legion of Roman soldiers towing Madonna on field to the tune of "Vogue" and a drumline-enhanced "Open Your Heart". For pure spectacle, the show is off the charts.
I was surprised to be able to outrun Lime bike riders on a Boris bike today. I guess I do have thunder thighs after all.
