🎸🤘 Hexcess began as a sketch for a sci-fi heavy metal band logo. It’s an experiment using hexagons and the novel forms built from them to construct a high-contrast, condensed blackletter on a grid. In the grand tradition of heavy metal logos, readability wasn’t a high priority but fun certainly was. Use it for posters, album covers, book titles, zines, and legal fine print. 🥴

@guayabito@mastodon.cr Thank you Jorge! 🙏

@guayabito@mastodon.cr That was my immediate reaction. I had it calibrated perfectly (for me) before. Still haven't resolved the issue but was able to make it good enough to work, for now. Something is very wrong with the display settings in this latest MacOS update.

Ugh. The recent MacOS update to 15.1.1 (24B91) really threw a wrench in display color/brightness on my setup. 🤦‍♂️

⚾️ Hit a home run with Fleisch Wolf & Wurst by Joachim Müller-Lancé. The shapes of the basic alphabet in this contemporary modular blackletter are romanized for better legibility. Use Fleisch for headlines, subheads, and drop caps.
