Friends, it is #BandcampFriday again!
Are you in the mood for something ambient with a bit of an edge? Something with a beat, and some cinematic bite? Something that tells the sonic story of our times with no words?

Sorry, friends, it isn't #BandcampFriday. But, there is other good news? One of my albums turned 3 years old this week! 🥳

Thank you @recursivedelete@mastodon.social for the studio assist today.
Slightly intimidating, adjusting from purely MIDI composing to working with a classically trained collaborator, and mixing modern VSTs with traditional classical guitar - a fast-moving, all arpeggio piece at that, too! (Kapsberger's Arpeggio Tocatta)
Can't wait to do more experimental, improvisational takes on other classical pieces with the same guitarist.
Today was so rough. Detailed mixing help, troubleshooting VSTs. The problems I noticed were fixed, problems I did not notice were also fixed. Now... let us hope the client likes it.
We found out certain piano VSTs do not have mic placement options, but others do, and that was an assumption others made - that the piano they told me to use could be adjusted, but it could not, and it was the source of glitchy bs. So we got to change it, and solve several issues at once.
Much relieved!!
"This album is incredible. It explores so many different and interesting sounds in new and fascinating ways. Definitely worth picking up if you like darker electronic music with lots of progression and atmosphere. It's a new favorite of mine. Favorite track: 08 - Lithopedion." -- @jankhambrams@meh.social
Siiigh. Digging through old audio resources to find things I've lost (VST's, samples, .wav banks). Coming up short on some things that are likely gone forever from the collection.
