My first ever Astronomy gig let me hang around David Malin, one of the premier AstroPhotographers https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Malin
When I worked on my PhD I didn't need to pour over optical plates (the Digitized Sky Survey and COSMOS meant I could do it from a computer) but some of my friends still had to.
I came out of work last night to see we were advertising the Harvard Plate Stacks https://platestacks.cfa.harvard.edu/ and it reminded me of those times and my first office (sat above them).

I finally got around to adding https://github.com/DougBurke/hvega/discussions as maybe a good place to flesh things out

Sorry for the delay - too much work and then the holidays. I am interested but have limited time and will not be available before mid-January. Some issues are
- getting it to work well with the latest ihaskell
- I like the fact I know that I can just look at a datatype and find all the constructors, but it is also not ergonomic and makes upgrades cause version breaks
- this was based on the elm version, which means it doesn't take advantage of "fancy" features, should it?
