For me the fediverse and Mastodon is the only social media that I currently check every day. Sure I can't yet see all of my old friends from X here. But hopefully more and more of them will come to realize that this is something that so much better than what X has become. Here you can actually have a conversation with people that have different opinions and not become threatened by them.
