Ah yes. How’s internet explorer - I mean edge doing? Get that people don’t like the way you do things and what you make, and rethink that angle. Renaming things won’t change anything. If you can’t succeed forking chrome, look inward lol.

I'm not really buying the no housing thing now. The thing is, it turned into a commodity. If you just build more, then those with all the money (because that gap is pretty damn vast nowadays) will just buy and hold and rent them Wait till air comes next, or some stupid ass shit.

We’re talking Personal Intelligence, Google’s latest AI upgrade path which lets users opt-in to connecting Google apps to Gemini. Why search for a doctor’s appointment when Google has access to all your calendar events. Why search for a party invite when it reads all your emails. And why search for a specific photo of you and your loved ones to create an image, when it sees all your photos.

This is coming first to the U.S. before it rolls out everywhere else. Google assures that “bringing personal details into your images shouldn’t mean compromising on privacy, which is why our core commitments haven't changed. The Gemini app does not directly train its models on your private Google Photos library.”

But Google does say “we train on limited info, like specific prompts in Gemini and the model’s responses, to improve functionality over time.” That’s why “connecting your Google apps to Gemini remains an opt-in experience that you can adjust in your settings at any time.” It’s opt-in for a reason. Keep that in mind.

Well, I guess I'm safe for the moment.... But I also just checked and you can't prevent Google photos from accessing your files, so that's concerning....

Sorry I hate you. Demon's souls changed my life, and I've got 1000 hours into nightreign and probably 950 into Elden ring and I've played all the dark souls also. This formula is my Jam. I love them. But at the end of the day... It's not everyone's cup of tea. I enjoy plenty of other games too. Hollow knight, balatro, etc.

I get what you mean. When I played cyberpunk 2077 on my PC I noticed a huge performance benefit moving it from my spinning disk to my SSD. I think it's because it dynamically loads as you play. So driving a car fast down the road for example leads to a lot of distant objects loading very late. But on my steam deck I play all kinds of other titles. Even play coop Elden ring and that runs fine but the load times definitely lack compared to my desktop 🤣. So I think YMMV depending on the game. I've got a 512GB deck with a 1TB SD card, SD card works pretty all right.

In my case for cyberpunk it was all on my desktop, SSD vs spinning disk. For my deck it was Elden ring and one other game which I can't remember. But typically most everything runs fine off the SD card.

Good idea, just did the same. Seems I've leaked several photos throughout the years to Google photos. I can see them online. Probably nothing I can do about it now but I'll have to"delete" these rehab I get to a computer.

Manjaro. I just switched to catchyos though after the manjaro drama. Oddly in my system, I had a bunch of issues with nabora. I wanted to try a gaming focused one because I basically only use my desktop for that and have a laptop for work.

OneDrive is for syncing files across devices. It’s not a backup. Edit: Since there seems to be a lot of hate on my comment, allow me to explain. Backup software has a schedule, it has monitoring, it has alerting (email, SMS, ticket submission, etc), and checksumming. OneDrive frequently just shits the bed for whatever reason, often goes unnoticed in the corner, and users frequently miss it and nobody, not even IT, know. Not to mention it’s riddled with bugs. Yes, you are copying files from point A to point B but it is not the same. If you rely on onedrive as a “backup” you’re going to be disappointed at some point when you lose your files :) If you delete a file over here, then it disappears from over there. That’s not a backup. On a real backup, if you delete files or lose them or whatever, you have days/weeks/months to go back on versions to restore.

My theory is they want you to get used to the windows app name because eventually they’re just gonna sell you Linux PCs with only the ability to reach your windows os like an app in the cloud with windows 365. Everything as a subscription, this is the way!
