This is gargoyle.
I've been too sick to do a proper post but today's the 6th anniversary of me finding her in a safe trap during the height of the first covid lockdown.
If you wanna see a bunch of rad photos of her and hear her story, last year's blog post is still good! I promise!
Enjoy - https://blog.curiousquail.com/its-been-five-years-since-i-found-this-thing-in-a-safe-trap/
it’s Trout
If you're ever feeling down, you can think about the moment from the 2025 Godzilla Fest short where he stumbles upon the sculpture of himself in Shinjuku and pauses the scheduled city destruction to try to comprehend what the fuck he's looking at
I'm still at it, by the way (open for a surprise)
You’ll never guess which Target from my hometown had its grocery section closed this week due to a rat infestation
April fools day (or rather, March 31st) is a great way to learn what websites are based in time zones further ahead than your own.
Ok y’lnow what, I’m back in on the marvel cards, this is so goddamn funny
It's not every day you wake up to find your face (albeit from over a decade ago) being used to promote a boycott of something you've never heard of.
Shoutouts to @docpop@mastodon.social for the heads up lmao
Decided to give #Junited2026 a go - trying to get in the habit of sharing cool blog posts I found on my own blog. Here's a list of 10 cool things I recently have dug (but I'll prolly add to it)
having a bay area phone number even though I live 3000 miles away and am registered to vote in a different state is not stopping all the phone banks from hitting me up today lmfao
California, PLEASE do not let bianco or hilton get any satisfaction
OH SHIT this game rules so much, super stoked it's hit 1.0
Did you know the Naval Museum in the City of Vallejo, California currently has a trans people of color throughout history exhibit?
Now you do!
Next up on the Daily Dex, we have:
Don't Hug Me, I'm Bird
Bobcat Goldthwait Unagi
Arnold Schwarzekoala

I’m so happy rn
Like don’t get me wrong, the fanmade Save the Earth: Melee project is really good but it’s nice to see Pipeworks actually being involved in an actual remaster
A pokemon I've dreaded showing up in RNG for the Daily Dex finally did - and I think I did ok!
Was half expecting the horse drawing meme if I'm being honest

Daily Dex time baybeeee
On today's entry, we have a good mongoose, (not) the monkey king, a horrifying penis plant and a missed opportunity on my part.
Please enjoy!

There’s this incredible reddit post about the “Gundam AGE iceberg” and I can’t stop thinking about it lmfao
This show truly was a gift
the other day I saw a post about someone's project that was able to edit headers of mkv files but I can't remember what platform it was on, the name of it, or anything else; I'm currently in a cold war with getting MKVtool to not crash so I welcomed an alternative but apparently forgot to bookmark
I remember when I thought I'd be posting these once a day. Still drawing them once a day but the photos and posts have become comically more staggered; here's EIGHT pokemon (I believe our largest entry yet)
We have 80's my little pony, the god emperor of dune, sentient music notes, goblin twinks and more.
Please enjoy:
