As we’re hard at work on the next big update — bringing major improvements to caching and content extraction (including better support for paywalled and multi-page articles!) — let’s take a moment to look back at what Couch delivered earlier this year, starting with version 4.0, which introduced iCloud sync alongside Pocket (a huge addition — especially with Pocket shutting down!) and other improvements.

Couch 5 is here — now available on the App Store.

This major release requires iOS, iPadOS, or macOS 26 and brings full support for the new Liquid Glass design language. It’s been a big effort to get everything ready for today’s launch, and we’re really proud of the result.

A follow-up update with additional bug fixes is already on the way.

The next feature release — Couch 5.1 — is just around the corner, bringing some new features and performance improvements. One highlight is the greatly expanded Shortcuts support, as you can see in the screenshot.
