🚨 Enough is enough! 👏 Workers from all over Europe came to Brussels to say no to the EU Inc/ 28th Regime proposal which will lead to undermining of workers and trade union rights. ✊ EU Inc is a symbol of the madness we are living in and it shall not pass! 👏 @etuc_ces@twitter-bridge.cryobyte.net 👏

It's #SOTEU day in Brussels! 🎉 von der Leyen will tell MEPs "our democracy protects what matters", while the Commission has spent the past year churning out deregulation omnibuses that do exactly the opposite. As Orwell would say: 2 + 2 = 5. 🙃 🎥 Watch our take 👇

#SOTEU : while Europe faces social, environmental and geopolitical pressures, it's funny how the solution always happens to be exactly what corporate lobbyists have been asking for, and they already have more access to EU decision-making than anyone. Here's our take on AI, deregulation and climate👇

The AI infrastructure boom is putting immense pressure on energy and water supplies, and threatens the EU’s climate goals. In the face of growing resistance, Big Tech has successfully lobbied the EU to keep information on individual data centres secret in little noticed Delegated Act.

This Summer we were kindly invited by the The Greens/EFA in the European Parliament to host a #PFAS -themed lobby tour of Brussels, with people from affected communities. The EU is planning a major hand-out to big corporations by scrapping safety and transparency rules for risky new GMOs, and let corporations profit from patented GM crops.

👆 So why on earth does the EU want to spend €23 billion building 19,000 km of them? To keep the oil and gas industry in business, and dirty industries from cleaning up their act. All because it’s listening to “experts” (read: fossil fuel companies) pushing the “carbon capture and storage” con. ✏️ @cartoonRalph

This is only a first step in the EU's misguided plans to weaken the digital rulebook to please big business and the Trump administration.

When it finally disclosed its lobby spending, it revealed an annual budget of more than 6 million euros. https://corporateeurope.org/en/2026/03/inside-far-right-network-targeting-europes-digital-rules

The Trump administration and a network of far-right think tanks are increasingly targeting the EU’s digital regulations and rules on content moderation. Far-right MEPs have taken over these narratives, while tech companies are hoping to exploit the opportunity.

There is no limit to the willingness to allow companies to design the Commission’s deregulation plans.

✊ We need:

  • to defend existing ethical standards,
  • to stop and roll-back corporate capture,
  • to drop all consultation methods that allow corporate lobbyists to dominate.
  • a broad based campaign to defend and expand the protection of the public interest.
