On February 28, the #Internet was shut down in #Iran for the second time in 2026. Two months later, it remains largely unavailable. However, increased allowlisting of external sites, and the availability of "Internet Pro" access has driven nominal increases in traffic visible in the latter half of April.

Now into its third week, the #Internet shutdown in #Iran remains in place, and the country remains almost completely offline. HTTP, DNS, and total traffic from the country continue to be at near-zero levels.

Unusual event observed on AS58224 (TCI) in #Iran today.
Around 15:00 UTC, it briefly withdrew 74% of announced IPv4 space. After recovering, #Internet traffic from the network skyrocketed.
Around 15:30, it briefly withdrew all announced IPv4 space. After recovery, traffic again returned to near-zero levels.
Cause is currently unknown.

The Amazon Web Services region in #Bahrain appears to be offline after being damaged again in another Iranian strike.
Traffic to me-south-1 disappeared around 01:00 UTC on April 1, with connection failures increasing significantly.
