We had lunch today at Sac's Place, an Italian eatery in the space that back in the 1920s and '30s was the commissary for Paramount's Astoria studio in Queens. The Marx Brothers made their first two movies at this studio, and it was fun to dine where it's likely Groucho, Harpo, Chico and Zeppo (among many others) dined decades ago. The wall tiles in our picture are holdovers from those days.
