When people says that agentic coding has improved, I wonder for who?
For me, sure: I could pay frontier models or buy expensive hardware to run local models. But I think on those IT students without money for that, in not rich countries. Basically the gap has increased.
I played with uv this weekend, the Python package manager. I wasted my time with pip and pipx for too much time.
I like LLM technologies and agentic coding, I use it almost everyday. But I loath myself when I think on it, not because of the technology itself, but because its realization in this capitalistic world. And we cannot decouple them.
