Why use Proxmox over Podman or Docker?
tl;dr: Proxmox or bare metal? Containers yes/no? What is your use case?
I used a Dell R710 when I first started self-hosting, it ran ESXi with one VM for each service I wanted. Restarting the server required me to first shutdown each VM in order and then the whole host. When setting up a new service to host I had to create a new VM (allocate RAM, disk etc), install the OS (I ran Debian) and then follow instructions for how to setup the service. This mostly was not a problem but one software I never managed to get working was Apache Guacamole.
Nowadays I have a Dell Optiplex I salvaged for parts, got a new case and all my HDDs from my R710. Because it has much less RAM and an old Intel i5 (6th or 7th generation), I decided to get into Docker. With Docker containers you write your compose file and it will just work. No more need to dig through documentation for which version of a dependency to use, how to handle if two services on the same host need different versions (this was part of the reason for one VM/service). With Docker, I can try out a software in seconds and have it configured to my liking in minutes.
Today I have NixOS (bare metal) and it comes with Podman which uses systemd. Hence restarting my OS (albeit not that often, almost never unless I mess up my config) is a no-brainer because Podman via systemd will manage everything. Adding, stopping or removing containers in general is easy. I have a script running as a service which will stop a container, create a BTRFS subvolume snapshot, start the service again and start borg backup to backup from the snapshot.
For me using Proxmox would just an extra layer of complexity I don’t need. I only have one server and I am the only user.
Questions:
Do you use Proxmox instead of a bare metal installation?
Do you use containers or do you install manually?
What is you use case that requires your setup the way it is?

Sure, but as soon as just one person thinks someone else is a Nazi, should we kill them?
Again, I am not saying that it is cool to be a Nazi, I am saying that we can’t just go around persecuting people willy nilly. That is why we have a justice system and a court. Other wise we might just as well do away with them and do as they did to witches in the middle ages.
I deem thee to be a witch, now thou shall burn at the stake.

I follow a guide for authelia and caddy, making it so that I can put authelia infront of anything without it the service behind supporting it. Still have to authenticate on the service behind but that is a small inconvenience.

We want to fight Nazis, on that we agree. Then who are these people? We have a court system, an agreed upon authority to make such decisions.
Vigilante1 thinks Mister X is a Nazi, Vigilante2 does not think so. Who is right? Who decides here? I say a court does and this is why I think we can’t just go around and murder people.

I’d say it holds up even more. All sick people go to hospitals and that’s where we employs doctors. EFF’s target audience^[1]^ are using Twitch so they go there.
1: I assume, since why would they use Twitch otherwise?

I have not stake in this, but here you go: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/china-uyghur-uighur-turkey-oppression-rcna97238 I took one at random that was semi-recent and look somewhat relevant.
Just look at the date of the references on Wikipedia and you will find plenty.

Unless they just use Firefox's proxy settings.
EDIT: It's not DNS but should still work.

Please educate me.
A primary source is a source with first hand information (e.g. a witness) or a source that does not cite other sources as their source. Disregarding the credability of NBC, how does the article I linked not fit that description?

I just took one at random and read the first few lines to make sure it was actually on topic. I have no clue about NBC News credability, I only wanted to illustrate that there were a lot of resources linked in the Wikipedia article, since BrainInABox asked for them.

The burden of proof is on you.
The burden of proof should be on you since you claimed https://www.qiaocollective.com/education/xinjiang as a source?
Also, talking about burden of proof here makes not sense. You provided a source, one can either trust it or not. And the question was if you belived it to be true or not (which I assume you do since you linked it. I haven't read it).

In your opinion, is the qualifications for a Nazi universally understood and agreed upon? As in, everyone in our society has the same opinion regarding what makes a person a Nazi?

Fast fashion would be the other end of an extreme. Another way is for stores to have one of each size, you try the one you want and place an order. The store delivers in batches and enough orders are placed.

100% agreed. My teacher said that he taught us tools, how they worked and how to use them, in order for us to apply them in new ways. Even with a calculator you have to understand the underlaying logic to actually do something. Don’t know basic mathematics? Good luck using a calculator.

If my fridge could tell me that my milk is about to expire or if I could query it for what is in it, I would want that. But I cannot really come up with anything that current “smart” appliances have that a fridge could use.
