We are getting close to making Tulip available for sale! It’s a python computer with a very good synthesizer, for you to make creative music (or anything!) on in code. It’s low power, cheap and utterly open. MIDI, CV DACs, USB keyboard, i2c and stereo audio. https://github.com/bwhitman/tulipcc
Dan wrote up his amazing work on a new big AMY synth feature - a fully synthesized (no samples) acoustic piano, done all in partials (!) that sounds quite great. The post itself is interactive, give it a read!

I'm not used to having a thing i made find an audience like this, so bear with me a little bit. but some tulip news
Lots happening in Tulip land. We got a first rev of a hopefully one-day-for-sale “all in one” Tulip, with 7” 1024x600 screen, high quality audio, MIDI jacks, support for modular synth CV DACs, and our AMY synth engine for a fully programmable in python analog-style or FM synth. follow along https://github.com/bwhitman/tulipcc/
TIL you can use gprof and gdb to profile and debug a running ESP32-S3 with no extra hardware. You can use its USB host pins as JTAG. Wasn’t trivial to figure out so I put a HOWTO up. No more (ok, less) printf debugging!
