@jschauma@mstdn.social thanks for reminding me. Case in point. Here's one from 20 years ago.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/june/15/newsid_2512000/2512669.stm Now I live in the US and I see this https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ce8mv6l6eezo

@_elena [1/2] Une chose me frappe.

@jimmyff@fosstodon.org great! I personally use syncthing... Installs on mobile, computers and my unraid server. I use tailscale to make it secure and allow it to sync away from home. Then it runs on MY devices only and doesn't use any cloud server. Any file can sync peer to peer. So markdown, PDFs, etc. Like a personal version of dropbox.

Great opensource RSS reader with multi device syncing, Linux and mobile apps. FreshRSS support too if you self host.

Lovely simple UX

@jimmyff@fosstodon.org I would definitely recommend #unraid for your nas when you get it going. Great community, so many apps. Very reliable. The fun thing is you can get going with an old computer just to trial it and play around. Then graduate to a self build later. Gitea app too!

HEIF and the enshitification of the world by Apple. 💩

Maybe with Tim Cook's departure Apple could help unfuck the world by using open standards for critical things like images.

When an Apple user shares an image on their phone with me, it isn't shared in an open way. No. Designed to sell more closed ecosystem shit from Apple.

Apple users don't even know this. Why does Apple have their heads shoved up their backsides so badly? 🤔

Can't get this song out of my head dammit.

Even funnier when you compare it with the original

@gnome@floss.social oooh. Nice work. I will particularly enjoy that print feature. @phako@chaos.social ... Great to see you still support this app so solidly. I'm a big fan, thank you! I use it to do image culling, then roundtrip to ART for RAW editing.
