I cannot figure out how to sync Joplin with anything, but I do use syncthing to basically back up my whole phone to my desktop whenever I’m on WiFi. Can I use desktop Joplin to access the syncthing folder and edit notes?

I mean I assume most of us use Linux, but there can still be malware and viruses. Just gotta be careful. I stay away from most games since those are ripe for malware. Video and audio ive never had an issue

Eh, kind of. I have hundreds of songs ive never finished but I probably won’t. No one needs new music. Theres over a billion songs already made. The music i enjoy most are full productions either with my band or me playing all instruments, but now no one cares at all when you can just use midi guitars and some ai bot to throw real sounding drums and vocals. It sounds 99% real to almost everyone, so theres really no point in music online other than live performances, which I cant really do with just me. That would work if I was just an acoustic singer songwriter, but theres already way too many of those. It also takes so much of my time for zero benefit…tens of thousands spent on recording gear, thousands of hours learning recording and mixing, and in the end you have nothing. Much better off woodworking or learning to build/fix houses. Its a sad state of the world , music/all art has never been undervalued more than now.

Can someone explain what data Samsung would be harvesting If you disable google play store and only use f droid apps? How can I see what data ia being keamed from my phone? Of course, we know for a fact if you install the Facebook app it records you night and day. But none of us use that garbage. I have to stay in this phone for a couple years still until i get a graphene pixel. Ive disabled everything I can on it and never update it.

I wish i could trust the fairphone in the US but I think it only supports t mobile..I travel a lot and need solid connection in case I need lyft to work or something. And airline apps..

Sure, but youll be the one gramps running through the airport with your paper ticket because you didnt see your gate change on the airport TV and you're late. On the phone app, the gate changes alert you immediately. There's also no way they'll have printed tickets anymore in ~5 years . i havent seen someone use a paper ticket in a very long time, and if I do, they're 85 year olds who can barely walk. (Related note, my younger friend was absolutely baffled I still write checks. They're 26 and never wrote a check in their life). The normies dictate the market. There's zero way I'd convince my SO or any family member to get a phone that doesnt support flight apps and hotel check in apps. Especially because hotel check in apps can remotely unlock your door with no key, so you dont have to talk to anyone at 3 am when you get there (a lot of people like that).

On a brighter note my friend with kids who are about 11 years old had to explain to their kids what racism even is and that there were wars fought over skin color. The kids were very confused and said “that is just sutupid.
