Naps: not just for cats.
Oops, I forgot to journal for the last 20 years--hang on real quick.
"I am so tired I want to cry."
Okay, done.
I had a dream that they made a sequel series to the original MacGyver where he returns to work after undergoing a Rambo-like transformation: buff and way into firearms. It was called “Mac is Back” and I woke up *furious*.
Nice news!

BIG|BRAVE has been stretching out towards new sounds since their beginnings. Their wildest swing was probably "OST" a sound track album for a film that does not exist. Based on the singles from it so far, their upcoming LP is a bit of a retreat back towards guitar-based heaviness, but adds auto-tuned vocals and nixes drums altogether.
After 10 albums of vocal chord-shredding singing, I don't begrudge Robin Wattie the auto-tune at all. But I've dropped from optimistic to cautiously optimistic over the drum thing.

Whatever I personally feel about the song, I have no doubt that The Darkness completely fulfilled the requirements they were given. It's certainly got THE POWER:

The Out of Time/Automatic for the people era of R.E.M. is the point at which they became my favorite band. Was this because I was ~12 years old at the time? Yeah, probably. But what a great pair of records to have available to me in my formative years.

I dropped a copy of Gravity’s Rainbow on my foot once, and that’s ironic—or appropriate—or neither, because I don’t get that book like at all.
I watch a fair few music min-docs on YouTube, and every time I see one about a band that moaned over the pain of fame and fortune I have to laugh. Like, my dudes, it is very easy to be broke and ignored!
I am nearly 50 years old, and at this point I'm learning that my desire to own a pair of purple Airwalk sneakers will never fully go away.
"So you've got a problem, I'll tell you what it is: you can't just make someone not exist."
There's a lot of things about technology that make me sad, but on the other hand it warms my heart that so many people out there fricken' LOVE the command line. 🥰
I was definitely picking up what New Radicals were putting down back in the day. And 28 years later... they STILL sound like World Party. (Which is fine by me!)
