@neauoire@merveilles.town As a surveyors assistant, aka rodman, in the 70s for a state highway department, the unit of measure was one foot, and we used a chain (tape measure) marked in tenths and hundredths of a foot. Marking out a line, stakes were typically placed at 25’, 50’, or 100’ intervals. You have an old surveyors tape. USA, of course.
