@EUCommission Btw there are better ways to protect children from online harm than with chatcontrol which include nationwide distributions of “Digital Self-Defense” materials, security-by-design apps, deleting reported materials immediatly and so forth. You do know that if chatcontrol was reality, you also make it impossible for minors to anonymously seek help from f.e. abusive households and you only think of the children as moral ammunition to further your goal for online mass surveillance.

@chatcontrol Again I'm gonna do a PSA for everyone since it's critical for Europe and especially for Germany because that means there will be a dangerous potencial for article 4 (Risikominderung) that WILL definitively not be as harmless as presented by the DP due to it's invasive and flawed AI. It's only a matter of time b4 any fuck ups occur so the only chance we have right now is to RAISE our voices and if possible go on the streets for a massive protest in your country to save privacy.

@chatcontrol@mastodon.social Btw I sent my bunch of mails to Germany and maybe I will contact the other non-german ones (depending on how my own capacities). Anyways just keep emailing them and generally keep up the pressure, now we have to be VERY PERSISTENT if we want to save our online privacy and fundamental rights. As for the LIBE, for Germany it's Birgit Sippel (SPD or CDU) and if I'm not mistaken, also Moritz Körner (FDP but he's also part of the EU-Parlament).

@Kurosetii@mastodon.social @chatcontrol@mastodon.social If you meant the trilogue, it's 26 February 2026 for the second negotiation and according to the timeline of fightchatcontrol.eu about the expiration date for the "temporary" proposal it's for April 2026 to 2028 unless we keep up the pressure to make the politicians drop the expansion altogether. I'll post the two screenshots for everyone to see, just in case.

I'll do as much as I can, until then let's keep fighting against chatcontrol since this will be our last chance. Don't stop mailing and keep going with the pressure, contact as many politicians aswell as memberstates as you can. It's better to attempt trying to make a difference than doing nothing at all.

@Digol @pneutig I've also heard about Big Tech also want chatcontrol 1.0 but to be honest I don't know any other details (especially regarding the trilogues on April 16). Don't let your guard down though. I'm also on the lookout for any changes or news regarding either chatcontrol 1.0, chatcontrol 2.0 or for both. November with the coreper meeting where there will be a political discussion about chatcontrol or about the potencial release of it. Und was ich noch gehört habe ist, dass er dem "Hollywood Ripper", Danny Masterson (der wegen Vergewaltigung angezeigt wurde) und ausgerechnet P. Diddy in Schutz genommen hat. Er soll mir nicht von Kinderschutz & Frauenrechten kommen wenn er von solchen Menschen umgeben ist 😠
