@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu Small question, related to GDPR. If I request retrieval and deletion of my data from a service, and they decide to comply by simply deleting my data without offering me an option to retrieve, is there a legal recourse for me to hold them responsible for deleting it?

@kha@functional.cafe ooof, this is from "Samuel". Such a great show
EDIT: Actually, it's not? It's either new season material or just a collaboration with the show's producer.

It doesn't seem to preserve the font though, which means that ligatures are unlikely to be preserved, but still, pretty cool!

@jonmsterling While I don't doubt that Apple devices show more attention to detail than other vendors, I attributed this difference in latency to the difference in the models being compared, not to their manufacturer. While they don't mention what model the iPad Pro is, if we assume Samsung S3 to mean the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, then it's a device from 2017.

@jonmsterling I was referring to a difference in age, not price. I'm no expert on the topic, but the Wikipedia article I referenced before mentioned the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is a high-end product of Samsung.

@jonmsterling Maybe it's just a matter of our experiences then. I haven't had a Samsung tablet before, but I think I should be able to show similar latencies with my 2019 iPad Air. It served me well, but it has started showing its age.

#codeberg users, I have a question. Is there a way to allow anyone to pull your repository, without having them authenticate with Codeberg beforehand? I noticed that, even when pulling with HTTP, I'm asked to authenticate with username and password, and there doesn't seem to be an option to disable it in settings.
EDIT: The repository is https://codeberg.org/ayhon/logical_verification_2025, in case someone wants to give it a quick look and see if I did something stupid.

@Epsilon_02 Yeah, I tried setting the visibility from public to private, and back to public, but it seems to always think my repository is private.
For completeness, the repo is https://codeberg.org/ayhon/logical_verification_2025 in case someone has the time to give it a quick check.
In any case, thanks for your input!

@Epsilon_02 Thank you for your time!
I have filed an issue here: https://codeberg.org/Codeberg/Community/issues/2512
EDIT: Apparently there's a profile level visibility setting which prevented people from cloning it publicly.

@gozz@hachyderm.io @mitchellh@hachyderm.io Sounds like Public Key Transparency to me. There's this project https://github.com/fedi-e2ee/public-key-directory-specification who has been recently trying to address it.

@eunews@mastodon.social I'm curious though, what was the reason they cited for this turn of events? Don't get me wrong, it's a welcome outcome, but what finally convinced them?
