aura-deprecated

@ariadne@social.treehouse.systems my favorite meeting with a major cloud provider was when they broke a managed cluster for a "mystery reason", invited a bunch of people to a meeting with a bunch of california-based engineers and managers in the call (we're EU-based, so notable) and then admitted they noticed their toggle for confidential compute did nothing, tried to "fix" it quietly without notifying us to not trigger a compliance cascade and then crashed our control plane in particular "just a reminder that you signed an NDA with us" - lol i didn't, but you can probably guess which provider anyway.

@cadey@pony.social finally AI has come for your job

@alicela1n did you run eden on linux on tegra yet?

@djlink ok, this sucks. unfortunately i have no idea where one would move. and even if i did, how you'd get more than 1-2% of people to go with you. discord only got so big because steam, xfire, teamspeak and foremost skype all sucked at some part of the problem. but discord doesn't suck in the same visible ways.

@Loosf@yiff.life the real news here is that anthropic apparently actually has people that are such true believers in being a force for good that they'd publish this??!

@Natanox @djlink friction really is the bigger problem over having an alternative to begin with. even the proprietary discord clones (the one run by the roblox people?) can't compete.

@auriblackcat ok so uh i might have to revise this one, sorry for throwing off the data!

@cadey@pony.social it reads like performance art. i wish i could believe that and move on.
