The EXACT-2 platform combines the depth of targeted sequencing for critical cancer genes (~400x) with the breadth of WES.
This allows us to capture more accurately the boundaries of copy number alterations, selected rearrangements and viral signatures that are often missed by standard methods all in a single workflow.
Specifically, the higher depth enable better detection of difficult, low-allele-frequency mutations (like those in GC-rich genes like KRAS).
