Janus is an open-source Android app that provides contextual word and concept translations by leveraging the vast, human-curated knowledge graph of Wikipedia.

Instead of literal machine translation, it finds the corresponding Wikipedia article in the target language to offer a more accurate and context-aware translation.

Hey all. We've been working on a new app to help you with translations.
This app uses Wikipedia to translate words. By using Wikipedia we can provide free, open, human curated, and contextual translation.

All available language packs were released to production last week, and it seems we do not see any issues. This is version 5.0.28.

This release includes support for Android 13+ and various Play Store guidelines.

You will notice that they also have an icon now in the apps drawer, this is required by Google.

In the next release we will provide a way to remove this icon (after installing), and will update many of the dictionaries.
