I had my last day at Spotify a bit over a month ago. Thanks everyone for the incredible journey, working alongside such great people and contributing to Spotify Search. It was an enriching experience that will stay with me!

It was a very tough decision to leave, but I'm excited to embark on a new adventure next week, working for the Dutch Government. I look forward to contributing to the Agenda for Value-Driven Digitalisation: https://www.digitaleoverheid.nl/kabinetsbeleid-digitalisering/werkagenda/

Day 4 (yesterday). I'm consistently impressed by how much is getting done with just a small number of people (only imagine what more efficient ways of working would bring!). Also: people actually talk on the phone for work!

Great to see this collaboration between JADS, UvA, and DPG Media finally becoming a reality https://icai.ai/icai-labs/rem/! #fomo

My first attempt at weeknotes. Week two: https://anneschuth.nl/2023/08/20/ivory-tower.html

It's a rough week! We're saying goodbye to many colleagues & friends at Spotify. Here's a list of very talented Engineers, Data Scientists, PMs, EMs, Designers that are now looking for new opportunities: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Qd3VP_92HlU39iGbf303WlZ_is_QN7J0bb2vzr9J624

Hoe vibe-coding er in de praktijk uit kan zien, Claude en ik schreven een stukje: https://anneschuth.nl/2025/07/11/wat-ben-je-aan-het-doen.html

Day 3 at the government. Biggest question so far: how do people get things done (and things do get done!) without Google Workspace (or similar products such as Nextcloud). Does one simply get used to mailing and merging documents, never knowing where the latest version is?

Open for just another week, apply here if you'd like to intern with Spotify Search this summer! https://jobs.lever.co/spotify/3ab211a4-ae79-4707-b167-03a5f9f67466
