Today a close family member apologized to me for openly supporting parts of the MAGA movement to my face and said they denounce all of that now. They said that some things I communicated to them and some other family members last year when I was very upset about my healthcare rights being infringed upon, along with what they have seen lately about ICE in the news, has made them change their mind. I was really touched. I feel just a bit safer in the world than I did when I woke up this morning.

Welp, off to go convince disabled republicans that they are not burdens and they deserve medical care again. Like it's my job (it is).

It stings that my weight loss, weight gain, body hair, head hair, clothes and over all physical appearance are always a topic of discussion that my family members consider to be acceptable, but the topic of my disappearing rights or that I wad right about the rise of fascism is off limits and I need to tone it down.
