“Give your agent legs” is a wild way to say: “we hired a guy, and he has a backpack”
Congratulations, you invented couriers
Got the weird little yellow MacBook Neo to use for job hunting, and man, I'm so happy with it. Such a good quality machine for the price, and does almost everything I'd want to do with it. It can even open Lightroom, although you can feel it drag a bit. And look at this color!
Week 4 of unemployment: I finally figured out how to set a picture of my cat as the sleep screen of my weird little ebook reader.
This is likely the biggest victory of my week.
Being a tech worker in 2026 means keeping a small cache of iron-on patches around, for when you want to keep the nice cozy Carhartt sweatshirt but not the logo of the company that let you go.
Happy Handspring Sunday wait am I doing this right?
There's this old video I'm remembering, but Google or LLMs don't know it. It's like a 15+ year old parody (maybe with the Community cast?) of a social media company promo video with nonsensical products like, "But wait! It's now even easier to florp your Wowzas"...
Am I hallucinating? Do you remember this?
Shot in the dark, but I’m trying to find someone in the San Francisco area who is comfortable doing MacBook mods/repairs. I have a Neo and want to do some light modding to the keys and trackpad, but am too freaked out to do it myself. Any ideas?
(@ismh86@eworld.social @imyke@myke.social @marcoarment@mastodon.social, do you happen to know A Guy?)

@phae@status.fberriman.com it is! I do like it, though the hardware isn’t as good as a kindle and the software is GARBAGE (I put Crosspoint OS on it which improved the experience quite a bit)
Reading experience is not as good as a kindle but it’s sooo tiny it barely takes up room in my bag.
I’ll bring it with me next time I see you so you can play with it!
I saw this talk live, and it was incredible. The build up! The payoff! The twist at the end! And now you can experience it too if you weren't at XOXO.
Glad to know that after all these years, I still compulsively sign up for new niche social networks. Who knows if it'll gain as much traction as Mastodon or Bluesky, but just in case you want to try out: https://www.pi.fyi/subscribe/referral/andyw
