It feels like a good day to post this.

The band name butthole surfers hits different now that every AI company uses a butthole for their logo.
Building a Discord replacement is easy. Getting millions of people to switch their entire communities away to an unproven platform with spotty documentation, no existing network effect, no meaningful moderation tools, and no meaningful user support is fucking impossible.
This isn't a dig at people using Discord. This is a dig at projects that are completely unaware of or interested in what the actual challenge of building something usable by people that dont and will never care about computers is.
The only solution to the ever increasing desire by world governments to surveil for nudes (the perverts) is for all of us to rise up and post so much hole they fucking drown in it.
The problem with explaining observability to people is that you sometimes have to ask yourself, "ontologically, what is a question?"
Which is not really something most people are prepared to answer.
is the sex version of the overton window called the horniton window?
So is "Cucked by Claude" the new "Savaged by Systemd?"
The worst part of wanting to do things well is to have to study in depth the terrible things so you can describe in detail what terrible, why terrible, how terrible, and most importantly: how to do better than terrible, with evidence.
NMS definitely needs a kart racer. In a procedural universe it's impossible some species hasn't made this Their Thing.

Limited scope, but remember how I'm always talking about HTTPS? Why senselessly expose people more than you have to?
There's this little thing called defence in depth.

Throwback to some bare big naturals from a couple years ago :meru_booba:
Really oughta get my hair done again.
Someone tell me not to spit on this cybertruck that's parking next to me. Someone tell me not to spit on the owner. I need to not do this. Ugh.
TIL about China's space station and planned crewed mission to Mars (though comments suggest it may be only the moon.) This is what I get for just letting space news organically filter to me.
This is so cool. Esp because apparently their station has hall effect ionic thrusters.

If I'm ever explaining something to you that you already know all about please tell me. I'm an idiot.
I explain everything because my entire life has been spent with people not understanding what the hell I'm talking about and it's just a reflex now. The other week I'm pretty sure I caught myself explaining how toasters work or something like that. It's worse with computers because it's a special interest.
