ok so say you start replacing your jr staff with llms, and senior staff give them assignments and review their work. years pass and your senior staff gradually retires or moves on to other things. where do you get new senior staff ?
i cant techinically vouch for beginner friendly per se because i technically learned a little final cut 7 ages ago and they have some similarities, but i was surprised how much i like working in kdenlive
i agree that most of its deleterious social effects come from it acting as an accelerant to existing problems. but the organizing around all of it goes hand in hand simultaneously. why exempt this one issue and treat it like a force of nature? people are designing, building and marketing these products

no but like .. i dont think i could square being the reason a piece of knowledge was like, erased from the possibility of humans ever knowing it. but if i just cant tell anyone for like the personal satisfaction of sharing the knowledge but someone else could still figure it out themselves (even if im never allowed to know they did that) im fine with that
i think objecting to the present class of commercial product on ethical grounds and advocating for its abolition is anything but the head-in-the-sand take, personally
again, youre talking about this like its inevitable. we're talking about highly centralized projects that are being enacted by people who can and must be stopped. it's not purely an "ideas cant be put back in the bottle" situation. all this shit relies on massive centralized infrastructure. i appreciate the discussion but i feel we're reaching the point of talking past each other. best of luck with everything
